My 9 yr old son's tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I think I need to barrow your son for a day and let him scape my 75. He's got the talent for it

Great looking tank! Nice placement of driftwoods. If natural gravel and real plants were used, I would have thought it came from the works of a professional. Great work! 3 x cheers for the kid !

You should've seen the grin on his face when I let him read this ... I swear his head expanded by 2 feet.

the tank looks great. deffinately has an eye for it. keep it up!

im jealous. it took me years to get half that good lol.

Thanks for the compliments guys ... he does have an eye, placed second and third in an 18 and under photography competition last year for scenery pics.

Makes me want a son lol. Looks great

My favorite response so far .... Actually this guy is so cool I wanted another one (my 2 boys are 4 and 9 yrs) .... let's just say you don't get two the same, they're all unique.

I understand but you'll have to get in line. I let him take a piece of driftwood from my 55G. Now he has to help me reconfigure it ... and I'll be using his input on all future scapes from now on.

You should be very proud of him and he should be proud of himself. That's impresive, the layout is very advanced for 9 years old. Ask him if he wants to help Mod the Set-up and Filtration section ;) He did a great job.

Thanks Tom ... that's a hell of a compliment for the kid. And I am proud of him ... and this definetely helped solidify what I've been telling him. He has an eye for certain things.
As for the position on the Mod panel ... I'll decline on his behalf ... LOL .... he already tries bossing me around enough already, Don't need to give him a status that actually gives him the right to now.

Lol. Your son did a pretty good job for his first tank, he surpassed me designing, I did my first setup at 12 and it was also nice but your son's is nicer.

I wished my 8 y.o boy was just as interested in fish keeping as yours, lol, send him my compliments.

Cheers.

Your son did an amazing job! I could use his help on my tanks.

Thanks the for compliments

Thanks ... each kid has a niche ... just got to find it. My oldest spends alot of time at his Grandpas farm, who is actually a chairman on our Outdoorsmen Group. So we've noticed his passion for nature and animals for awhile now.

Lol instead of him mowing lawns he could get paid to aqua scape

This is actually quite funny ... as I was reading him some of these comments earlier today, he looked at me and said that maybe we should start a bussiness.
Now for you to say this ... yikes I don't know what to think .... LOL.

Here's a pic of my happy son with his tank (he's standing on a foot stool)

That is a GREAT photo! what a smile, he is adorable and his aquarium is fantastic.
I could see this turning into a nice little business. heck- I'd pay him ;-)

Tell him to enjoy his fish.
