but as stated salt should do the trick. keep us updatedVittleKing;2216059; said:no need to get aquarium salt. Its expensive and does the same as kosher,sea,rock salt. Whatever you do, don't use iodized salt though, but any non iodized salt that you can eat is just fine bud, andmuch cheaper.
unless you are making brine solution you don't need to worry about iodinenpd_raj;2216123; said:Ocean Free aquarium salt is specially formulated to disinfect the water as well as to calm the fish down. Most preferred for stressed, hurt or diseased flowerhorns. This is not a direct cure and does not even provide a slimy coat on the fish, but definitely helps the fish to calm down and stop him from getting hurt again and again due to stress and panic. Besides, here in Bangalore, 250gms of Ocean Free Aquarium Stress buster salt is only about 2$ to 3$. Considering the love we put on our fish, this is not at all expensive.
@Vittleking
Dude its very rare to get non-iodized salt here in our city. Even the simple Rock salt comes iodized due to the stringent food laws here. That is the reason i suggested him to go for aqua salt. It is safer.
