i would guess male but not really sure. he is a really beautiful fish! glad to see he looks ok and is pulling through!!

Oh i hope everything goes well for you and the FH.
A couple months back my daughter who was 7 1/2 months at the time had dropped a battery into one of our 35 gal which held a JD and a couple other fish and we did not notice untill 2 days later. But after a few water changes all was well except the loach still has black marks on it till this day but other than that it is completly fine.
