i've shared my design in other forums and people are getting worked up about the tank bowing on each of the 4x4 posts. does anyone here have any knowledge on that?

dude that is so over kill nothing will ever bow or creak or make any funny noises that stand could hold double the weight of your 240 easy

im a HUGE fan of overbuilding stand

this is the 100/60 stand that i built (with badreverends help)

the top is 3 2x6s with 1x2s supporting the plywood
legs are 2 2x4s
bottom is 2 2x6s with 1 2x4 on each end and 8 2x4s under the plywood to hold the 60

the stand weighs somewhere around 100-125 labs... i picked it up and droped it just to see what would happen.. it sounded like 1 big piece of lumber.. so solid its not even funny

the bottom is going to get a flip up/down canopy and maybe some trim pieces.. i had to call it done so i can get it set up before my thinbar starts snacking on my clown loaches
