My DIY stand for 150 gallon tank

I have no issues getting meds. I have a medical kit at home I put together and it has everything you need including hydrogen peroxide which I picked up at local pharmacies. I even have hypodermic needles I use to inject vitamins or meds into feeders.

The Taiwanese way of dealing with illness is very different from our won. My girlfriend and I often disagree on the ways to treat various illnesses. The thing about selling you the modern meds is just because it costs more. If it is prescribed and your health card was used the doctors will often give the more expensive "modern" meds.

Just look around. I have a few stores I go to. Where some stores laugh when I ask for something, others have a constant supply.

How long have you been here? Do you speak Chinese?

I'm an ABC. I've been here for almost 3 years now. Although I'm an ABC, I grew up in California. Because of that, I'm pretty much American, even though I look Taiwanese. I don't think or act like the locals here. Everything has been a culture shock to me, and it still is. My Chinese is decent, not perfect. The reason you may be able to get fish meds, might be because you live in a different county. We are not allowed to get fish meds here, at least. That's where the costly vet comes in play. I disagree with everything they do here. It just doesn't make any sense, the things they do here.

I live in Taiwan in Taichung. I have been here for 7 years. If you ask around you will find what you are looking for. There used to be a fish doctor here but he closed down due to lack of business.

Try mom and pop stores and the ones that look chaotic. They usually have what you are after in terms of supplies. The smaller stores also seem the use heavier weights when measuring feeders and shrimp. I rarely go to the big chain stores. They are over priced and rely on selling to the uneducated masses.

I bought the third tank. It was custom made to fit the bottom. It measures 30 cm long, 45 cm wide, and 40 cm tall. I haven't filled it with water yet. I will be updating with more pics when it's filled. Also included pics of my big tank.

Looks nice!
