You read, and hopefully understood, my terms of sale

"IF YOU NEGOTIATE A LOWER PRICE, YOU ARE HAGGLING AWAY YOUR LIVE ARRIVAL GUARANTEE"

:iagree:
I My first online order was through Fishroom.. I did not negotiate anything and my shipment was garraunteed:)

And guess what of all the same fish that "fishroomsplus" sent to others lived.. and mine showed up dead.. And guess what :) He refunded as stated in his Policy all but the cost of shipping :) Good seller!!! Good costumer service to those that read the policies

You cannot expect a seller to renig on his own policy.. If you made the error of trying to rip him off in the first place by haggling price down to what YOU wanted then you VOIDED the garrauntee :) NOT "fishroomsplus"

Your bad not his.. Had you followed his policy like myself and others then you would most likely have been re embersed.. He lost a 160.00 on our transaction due to a dead fish.. And Still was very polite to me and refunded my money INCLUDING 15.00 handling fee!!! To total his loss to 175.00

Thanks Fishroomplus!! Good service :)

My only concern was the box size and markings.. But mattered not as I received like stated in policy of the seller in question the cost of the fish back :)

Unfortunately I hope i didn't sound like i was flaming you.. But this response I take it was from him?? ANd it really looks very to the point and VERy polite to me :(

I am however sorry for your loss. Hopefully you get it all worked out and I would just not order from this vendor again if i were you..

And do not worry you have reached those you needed to reach.. Trust me.. I will not buy from a certain vendor due to a transaction i watched go down about six to eight months ago..

And i still pm my friends when they talk about going through that vendor.. But i in no way say they are going to get screwed I just state that I myself refuse to take the risk with that particular vendor :( I will not name them cause I have NO PERSONAL experience with that vendor there fore cannot publicly give a named opinion :)

I know it bothers some people, but I never mark the box "Live fish"

What I have learned is that I have added to my list of members that I won't deal with.

I have 2 bussiness and I can tell you when I have an unreasonable customer that tells me that they "will tell all their friends" I'm glad because if they are your friends they are going to be like you and I don't need anymore customers like that.

Do I have a bad attitude? Well after 20 years of dealing with the public I'm tired of people looking for something for free and thinking that I'm the next in line to give it to them.

I had a person that had 1 day before their warranty ran out and they had a line leak and burned the transmission up. I did nothing to damage the line (they hit something) but they were still in warranty so I fixed it at no charge.

The customer was happy. But I also get greif from people that are 6 months out of warranty and I charge them for the repair. How is that fair?

You always need to read the warranty verry carefully. For your and the supppilers protection.

I wouldn't have the "negotiate a lower price and lose the arive live guarantee" but it is the policy and it is clearly stated.

I take losses and it sucks but if you are lossing yor mind over 150.00 then maybe you shouldn't have spent the money on fish.

Just my 2 cents

This is a necessary clause in the policy. Every good retailer puts some effort into determining the percent of shipments that will be lost and replaced and factors this into the cost of their product. The retailer is not just going to absorb this cost. Its like insurance, you might never need it but everyone has to pay for it any way.

By negotiating the price down the first thing to go is going to be this insurance. San, it was a bad judgement call to do so and in poor taste to bash a vendor for GOOD business practices. Learn from your mistake and if you cant afford to lose your investment you had better make sure that you have some kind of guarantee before you fork over your cash.

I am not, by the way, "flaming" San, nor do I necessarily side with the vendor.

San, you keep telling people to consider how they would feel if they were in your shoes. You should consider how much differently you would feel had you spent the little extra to get the guarantee and were on your way to getting your dead fishies replaced at no extra charge................
