When I bought my endlicheri, I'd been eyeing bichirs for a while. My LFS had senegals, baby ornates, albino senegals, delhezi, and, of course, endlicheri in stock. I loved the look of the endlicheri species; I guess I liked the look of lower jaw species. The ones visibly for sale were selling for $50; however, I found two hiding in the back of a smaller tank that were $10 less. I came home with my second poly I've ever kept (my first was a senegal). He's an awesome fish and gets along well with my juvenile pbass and kind of intimidates my pleco (which is a good thing, because I read that plecos suck on their slime coats). He loves eating shrimp pellets, and the occasional Hikari sinking carnivore pellet my bass misses. Attatched are some pictures of him. I'm excited to be a member of the poly keepers on MFK!
