yera thanks. im freaking being critisized because these people think i havent dont reaserch whent im just making sure.

tbh u should know about the food stuff.

but i still ask questions about some things just to confirm i am right and not going wrong. iv been researching tarantulas over a year now and finally got the one i had my eye on home. but i was still asking questions in the shop and on here just to make sure i was going about it the right way and to see if any other owners has advice which wouldnt have been in a caresheet.

always good to check, no harm done, even if u look like u havnt done research, at least there are people to help.

could u get a proper hide? erm, not sure if u have the same over there so il find a pic and post it up in a mo.
but the ones im talking about u can put moss and damp towels in and it will hold the humidity better than a box, so shed will b better.

u can also get ones that are hollow rocks and cut in half, like the above but with a base.

i find them brilliant when shedding starts.

Nobody is yelling at you we are just a little concerned when someone who says they have researched an animals asks very basic husbandry questions. Especially with leopard geckos considering there is so much literature on them about their husbandry. Now im not saying you are a bad herp keeper or anything like that but you have to understand that not everyone takes care of their lizards the way they should and alot of us feel it necessary to point out what things you can do to help your little guys. Like when you said you had to pick up calci dust and mealies. You should already have all those things before you get your lizard. In other words these questions are better asked before you would have gotten the actual lizards. But you are not doing anything terribly wrong and i am sorry you felt somehow offended but we are just trying to help;).

thanks man. but i had some and i left it open for a second and my new puppy knocked it over and so i had to get some more...and i had crickets befor not melies
