Can lift him out of the water and he doesn’t even struggle...I don’t think he may live next week. How do you euthanize a fish with clove oil? ?

Can add 10 drops of clove oil in 1g of water. Slowly add more drops about the same after a few minutes till the fish stops breathing. Repeat as needed.

My mother says she doesn’t want to order in clove oil as it is a waste of money. Is my next best option to freeze it instead or knock it out?

It’s available otc at most pharmacies. Not need to order. But if u still can’t then I’d say knock it out.

I wouldn't be moving it around more than you have to. Causing it a lot of unneeded pain for a picture.

Did you ever end up separating the two to allow the gar to heal?

Ah. I didn’t move it around. It was floating at the surface vibrating. So I took the chance and snapped a quick pic. For the separation, sadly my arowana jumped into the overflow box and passed on.

Sadly by the time I got home it had already passed on and I didn’t have time to euthanize it. In the span of 2 weeks 2 of my favourite fishes have passed on. Ahhhhhh
