I bought a pacu. it must've been their mistake. its out of town, because i used to live there, and can be vague about the specific location.

of course, if I kept illegal fish, I wouldn't be blabbing about it in public.
keep talking i am recording everything, receipts, proof of purchase,:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:

Then you've never delt with a natural school of piranha. Keeping them by themselves or in small groups in sterile tank environments dumbs them down (so to speak). A large group of adults (not the whimpy little 6" ones) in a wild setting - and they are a force not to be messed with.
I understand that. I'm talking about the ONE in some young mans tank who sits in a corner all day. I've also seen...nevermind I'm derailing.:nilly:

BAH! I have to go to Montana to get a snakehead, and then illegally smuggle it back into Idaho? Land of the free? I am free to obey, sit, and try not to "rock the boat".

But I suppose The Republic of California should have rediculous laws, since they are intolerant of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

come search my tank. I got a few cons, a JD, a RD and an O.

bring it.

haven't owned piranha since 1997, and that was in Tennessee where they are LEGAL!!

Its funny that I'm an apartment manager and I have to tell people they can't have a dog but, piranha are ok...

Dispite our Freedoms in this fine land of ours, we have rules to abide by. Theses rules govern (against our wishes) the safety and economy we dwell in.
Federal, State, County and Municipal Fish and Wildlife Laws are paramount in protecting what we have here in North America. The Flora and Fauna that we so love as pets are seldom from North America.
Beautiful as they may be, rare and cherished as they may be, cared for and lavished upon as they may be....these creatures that find there way into our homes are ecological nightmares if handled improperly.
The native flora and fauna of our continent do not, have not and will not be able to compete with many of the gorgoues animals kept as pets, aquatic or otherwise.
A single "harmless, innocent" release of a "pet" into our wild has had and will continue to have devastating results.
Sympathize as I may with the busting of your fine LFS......he got what he deserved. In my book he was reputable until his reputation went to his head and he broke the law.
Plain and simple.
Respectfully, FireMedic.

Life is full of one species taking over anothers territory. Look at us humans. Not to mention past life. It is how we got our species today. One could argue that it is just evolution and not evil. We forget we are part of nature too. Don't get me wrong I am not pro releasing fish, I am just saying species taking over and breeding with others has been happening since the dawn of time. So your so called natives are the result of hybridizing and species being taken over.
