Do you ever come to Sacramento
i have some babies you can have for less
here is a pic of their daddy
hey I would be willing to make that drive up there....I would really like to see the fry though or wait till there about 2.5 3 inches to see sex and kok potential

I say great deal!

You should try some Grand Sumo Flowerhorn fish food and your flowerhorn looks pretty ok for 45 bucks.

Congrats, my festae has had the same problem for over a month now, just started eating a little bit. Post some updated pics of your Flowerhorn when you can....

don't put your male in with the female just yet. Instead of treating the water, try treating the fish. If he is eating, soak a mixture of medication with water in the pellets and when he eats it, it will have a more direct affect.

Breeding is stressful and your fish is not well to be breeding.

ohsnap, will post some pics soon...tell me if you notice a bigger kok :)

fishnut, the two of them had been in the same tank since they were both being treated for the same thing. the male didn't eat for a few weeks and just started eating 3 days ago...once they start eating again, doesnt it mean they're cured from hex?

i like your fish. it is funny how fh people will give praise to fugly fish just because they have kok and badmouth a beautiful fish just because it does not. i voted that you got a good deal because your fish has alot of desirable traits even thought there is no kok. sometimes there are late bloomers and he could get some later. texas cichlids don't grow large nuchal humps and it takes a couple years for them to get the little humps they do get. your fish has lots of pearls so he may not be far down the line from the cross with the tex. he probably won't ever get a monster kok, but he will be beautiful either way. the most important thing is that you like your fish because he will be making you happy swimming around your tank for years if you do.

nice color and pearls on the fish. if the fish has potential then it will grow.
