Updated pictures please .

Nice to hear that he is looking better .

Ill update some pics when I get home from work at like 5, they may not be too much of a difference from the first pics because those pics were taken already 3 days after I started taking care of him. I can see more of a difference mostly from when I went to go pic him up, cuz he had almost no color and like a "flat" white look. cant really explain it. but. New pics will be up later.

Great to hear another O being saved by a responsible fish keeper! Big up to you man!! How did you find out about the poor lil fella (he aint small tough haha!)? The HITH will clear up over time, just keep nitrates around 20ppm or below, some salt at every w/c and a nice well balanced diet!!! Hope he has a good life in your big spacious 125!?!

ha Thanks bro, I found him while I was at work, working real hard lol playing on my comp. looking on craigslist I frequently look for tanks and fish ppl are selling and ran across this guy. the owner was selling the 30 gal with the oscar pleco n crazy clogged little baby 10 gal filter. and since I was thinking about getting a large white n red oscar I went out there to check it out. And ran into that disaster. But my little blanco homie is doing good now. Yea I was put onto salting my tanks about a year ago, and I love it. It works miracles hes chillin right now. it was kind of funny a day after I put him in, because he was in that small 30 for so long and hardly could move, It was kind of like he had to learn how to swim again lol hes loving the 125 now

Thats what i like ta hear, hard at work haha?! Id say it was deadly putting him in that big tank, i leave my tank spacious so it looks like they have loads of swimming space!! Might get another bichir in a month or two but there aint much of a choice over here! Whats this craiglist, is it in the U.S of A??

By the way, is that your tattoo in that pic? All i can say is savage, id say that was expensive?!

Good rescue......nice looking O.

Glad to hear he's looking better. I bet he wasn't able to swim at all in that 30g. Being in your 125g is like heaven for him. Lol

lol what u mean "deadly" in the 125 lol? I wish I could get another bichir there just soo cool to watch they kind of stalk in and out of the decor looking for prey all day . OH man you dont have craigslist out there huh? Craigslist is sooooo official. its a website where people sell anything and everything new and used items from new cars to used sneakers. and you search for items in your area and usually get a sick deal. I got a MINT 125 gal tank with stand cover and lights for $200 when in the stores its around $700 for everything. its like a online classifieds add website.

And yea thanks thats my ink, and actually its was damn near free a friend of mine is a tattoo artist and he does extra work out of his house, so I just threw him enough $ for the ink and some beers and he hooked me up. getting some ribs work done soon ; /

BTW, how's he getting along with your other oscar? I had thought about getting another oscar but I was scared they would kill each other. Yours look to be about the same size so there might not be a problem. Let me know how that works out.

EHHHHH the two oscars dont really "beef" too much , if anything they just size each other up and look like there about to lip lock but never do and that not even that often and they neither one has straight up attacked the other one. Although I dont know the sex of either one if they are different or the same, because that could be a factor. they dont seem to stick together, the new oscar actually seems to try to school with my 2 tinfoil barbs lol. but if anything its the jag that giving the new oscar a bit of a hard time, and the oscar is almost twice the size. them crazy jags. So that is another thing I have been keeping an eye on. but theres soooo many mixed reviews on here with keeping oscars together some say only 2 never 3, some say never 2 only 3 some say only 6 and up. so I guess it just really varies. are you trying to add a new one soon?

I've been considering it, but as you say, there are so many different opinions on it. I didn't really want to add a fish that I wouldn't be able to rehome to a different tank if a problem arose. That's not saying that what you did was wrong! Lol I think you did a wonderful thing by saving this oscar. Hopefully everything will go ok for everyone. My oscar is a big teddy bear. He never messes with any of his tank mates and I have some SMALL fish in there with him. Lol
