lol what u mean "deadly" in the 125 lol? I wish I could get another bichir there just soo cool to watch they kind of stalk in and out of the decor looking for prey all day . OH man you dont have craigslist out there huh? Craigslist is sooooo official. its a website where people sell anything and everything new and used items from new cars to used sneakers. and you search for items in your area and usually get a sick deal. I got a MINT 125 gal tank with stand cover and lights for $200 when in the stores its around $700 for everything. its like a online classifieds add website.

And yea thanks thats my ink, and actually its was damn near free a friend of mine is a tattoo artist and he does extra work out of his house, so I just threw him enough $ for the ink and some beers and he hooked me up. getting some ribs work done soon ; /

Just ment it was really good for him to be so free and out of a 30g he could hardly move in?! Dya have any bichirs at the mo, love the way my ornate swims around stalking, looks so cool? We have a site similar to that over here but fish keeping is only in its infancy here compared to your country man! Sure where only a republic less than a 100 years, give us time to catch up haha!!! My 120g is big enough till i get the bug to keep something bigger! I really want to keep either some cichla or a giant snakehead in an 8' tank in the future! Id never get rid of my ornate or O tho !!

naaaaa man no bichirs right now, all the other ones I've had in the past always seem to take chunks out of my other fish's fins, and thats probably the only reason I dont have any right now. cuz they are some cool fish boooiiiii yea im cool with my 125 for now also, I wish i could get a bigger tank, but im on a 2nd floor apartment of an old house and my floor is sooooo weak everytime i walk past my tank now its wobbles some thing crazy. going to be relocating it to my bed room where the floor seems a little stronger next weekend lol

Haha, you'd wana watch that man! Ive heard some crazy stories of tanks going threw some roofs lol?! What bichirs did ya keep? I notice when my ornate does be hungry, sometimes he just stares at my O but never does anything!!! The O does let him know whos boss ! Hes a fairly aggressive O in fairness to him! How do yours get on now??

I knowwww im mad nervous, I definitely will be relocating it to my bedroom soon, much sturdier. I have only had 3 poly senegal's in the past but the ornates are the**** just hard to find around me.. you got me really wanting to put one in my tank now. what do you think, will he get killed by my big oscars? but my main concern is the Jag because he hides in the caves at the bottom where the bichir would be and you know how jags are I think they would be constantly fighting till prob the bichir is killed but im not sure. what do you think????????????? can it be done?

Thanks bro, I've been meaning to get some new pics up, but just been too lazy to charge my camera battery lol the pics I have up now are already after a few days in my 125 and he already looked drastically better then when I got him. probably would have seen the change best If I took pics while he was upside down in my bucket but was to busy freaking out trying to keep his a** alive lol when I first put him in he was very sketchy as my other oscar can be a little aggressive some times, but after he got his confidence back and stood up for himself they dont bother each other at all.

Its hard to tell tbh man, i once seen a 24" Ornate and he was a beast haha?! When bichirs get to that size, you'd wana have fairly large cichlids in with them lol?! In my opinion, if you bought a large-ish bichir and provide a couple of hiding spots in the tank for it then it may be ok in terms of territory within the tank???

What fish have you got in the tank apart from the oscars and the jag?? What are the dimensions of the 125 again, did you say before? The name of the game is keeping nitrates around 20ppm or below by providing a large w/c once a week so you dont get pissed off doing it? If you get a bichir on top of the fish you already have, could you keep the nitrates down with your current w/c routine?

My tank dimensions are 72 1/2 x -18 1/2 x -23 3/8 other then the 2 oscars and the jag I have a 6'' Green terror and two small tinfoil barbs that I use as dither fish. but the solution I came up with for my other thread is instead of taking out the jag im going to give my friend the GT and two tinfoils and that should open up some room making the jag feel his territory is less invaded and cut down on his aggression. (in theory). Im going to add a few more hiding spots for the bichir cuz i currently only have about 2 or 3 large caves and a pvc pipe. my water is good my wc schedule would be fine still since im taking out 3 adding one. my question for you is, is there different personalities between bichirs species more aggressive then others and get larger then others???
