Hey muskieboy, you got ripped off I only paid $10, LOL! I started mine off in a Laguna pond the smallest one they sell and will upgrade to the big one they sell if I can sneak it in the building that is, any pet shop that sell's Laguna products can order it, I got mine at PJ'S. The big one they sell is 6'x4'x2 and looks like a real pond they look a 1000 times better than a kids pool, not as cheap though, all the best with your new rtc.Toronto-20121225-00120.jpg

Which store did you get it from? The yonge street location? How much $$? It looks pretty cool...

nice rtc.if your setting the pool up in the garage how do you plan on keeping it heated threw the winter? and to try and stop mold your gonna need a good dehumidifier and good ventilation with heavy duty fans that run 24/7 i know from my indoor pond build power bill went up almost $100. building my pond was cheap. but the dehumidifier and fans set me back about $2300.00. mind you i went for the more pricey fans and dehumifier because it was in my house. keep us posted on the pool and his growth rate. ps ive got you beat on price i offten get rtcs for free :P

I'm sad to say that my rtc has passed away. I was away for the weekend and I came home to find him dead in his tank along with some pieces of shrimp which he must have vomited up. I'm assuming the shrimp he threw up and that caused an ammonia spike which killed him. I also noticed that 1 of my hob filters(i have 2) was clogged, so that may have also contributed to his death. If only I was home he might not have died:wall:. I hope to get another one in the future....
