yeah but at any rate the multi's will not care about the cracks and you can bury them in the sand a bit to hide the cracks.. i think it will look good sorry i havent seen this thread before but buddy do not add anything else just the Multi's as for these dudes are very aggressive and territorial for a shellie.. they will deliever the beat down.. here is a video link to my shell dweller tanks..

Aww, really, nothing else? not even a pair of neolamprologus caudopunctatus? or some other cave dweller? I have that whole rock network and it's gonna go to waste. :(. And yeah, I don't think I need any more shells, I'm just using everything and took your advice and buried the cracks and stuff. It was only 1 that had a major crack, so nothing big. Anyways, here are those pics I told you about:

UPDATE: Just got 18 shells from pittbull (again, props to him). I cleaned them, and put them in my tank, then took a few pics. The first one is a 10 second time lapse with my weak moonlight (a.k.a my snap on reading light) and the second one is about 60 second time lapse with same light source, nothing changed, but the time. Notice the difference time has:WHOA:

Looks great buddy good job i like it and its an acrylic tank as well.. Nice placement of shells and rocks..

As for tank mates you may be able to get by with a lone Caudopunctatus or a lone Brevis but i err on the side of caution Multi's are little bundles of joy hehehe not really mine punked out a small group of Peacock juvies at about 2" yeah i know but i didn't have a place for them and i had them temporally in there til i free up some space..

Wow, awesome tanks, and nice steal with that 16.5 g. I was looking online and people were trying to sell 10 g glass for $70! haha. Anyways, Brevis are shelldwelling too, so I'm not sure that would work out too well. Have you ever kept n. brevis before? are they calmer than multis? maybe I'll put in 3-4 brevis and be able to keep some other fish in there with them? I'm not sure, I'll have to read up on brevis.
 
Cool yeah i had a colony of 9 Brevis cherry spots and yes they are lot laid back than Multi's are.. If you go the route of Brevis i would say you could add a Caudopunct since they are not primary shell dwellers the only time a Caudopunct is a shell dweller is when their in breeding mode so one would be ok with the Brevis..

Oh yeah that acrylic of mine was a steal but a good friend of mine let have it cheap due to space and he had several more for sell.. should have bought them all for that price but i didn't have the room for transport..

10g seems so tiny now after seeing so many monster tanks and ponds, haha. Your setup is really nice, and I agree with the soft overhead lighting, it really adds to the "look"
