Do it Allan! The only tank I've seen w/the Congo VATF, was from R.I.P. R1_Ridah. Don't remember if TigerFangs 900 had yellow tails, but was wicked w/the large tinfoil missing 1/4 of its body from one Strike!

ya the red now extends from the tip all the way to the center on the bottom lobe. it follows the main spine

Not surprised!! I think GATF are equal to Mala's. very little to no action. VATF... True VATF is the ultimate ATF IMO! Once a keeper owns one for at least 1 year, IT'S OVER!
Nice combo w/the Discus. When I tried, I think I had 10 discus from 2-4" or so and my VATF was about 15"
i didn't need a year....just a few hours...lol....these discus are massive! they are the size of my hand! makes me think about the 20gal tall for their pair min tanks size.

and i am glad you did, this fish has made up for alot of losses from this year! kinda rekindled the flame as for a min i was thinking of going down to just my gars and selling the rest.
thanks, this was a randomly different vatf the worked out for me. the other vatf we were talking about i finally got a hold of the guy ad he sold it yesterday. it was not a yellow one though, but a red and clear one. there is a small one at a lfs by me but it is expensive. 3" and $200. the guy he sold it to has 4 already so i think you should get a shoal of them! i want to do that, but at the same time i am happy with the one. been a long time commin.
i am not telling they should look familar since you been there alot. these have been there a while....they were the $250 pair in the top tank, you know the ones i said i was going to get.....

they are getting a 30" black in soon. i found out when he was looking for a tank for my last gatf.
update already on the vatf
it has started to eat pellets today. the dicus pay no attention to the vatf and the vatf is just hanging out. a very relaxed fish. it will swim with my aro to watch it eat then it grabs one of the other pellets the aro didnt eat.

also i will be puting my discu into the 40breeder when i move my frontosas up to the 125gal. then i will breed the discus.

Random question...is a 55 big enough to house discus for life? (gerbil still hasn't given up yet)
price will depend on what they paid for it but is would most likely be aroud $400 beacuse they dont want to be stuck with it.
yes discus could be kept in a 55gal for life. not for beginers though. if you wanted some you could figure it out, but i would give any to jess because they are far to new.
