The only thing I see that looks different after studying it more is that blue hue and a little more of a rounded head but still is probably a varient of the piebalds from Don as I said.

Ira, I agree. I think they are fenestratus, but just going with the suppliers i.d. Isn't the name supposed to change though?

I wouldn't be so quick to conclude that sp. Catemaco and piebald fenes are the same fish. Supposedly DNA testing has proven otherwise.

Ira, any input on whether or not the piebald fenestratus are a line bred fish as stated earlier in this thread? If so that would mean that piebalds would produce regular offspring, correct?

We will probably have to wait for the paper to be published to see which localities are included with the new species.

Marbled fene's are line bred though, and probably seperate from this potential new species. That is if the gent on a forum can be believed.
