Hi guys,

this is my first post on MFK.
just want to share my rays tank.

tank size is 2700mm x 1200mm x 500mm (L x W x H)
sump size 1200mm x 500mm x 500mm (L x W x H), with 200liter Kaldness K1 Media only.
2 x 6000lph water pump, but right now just 1 pump is running.
lighting; 3 x 36 OSRAM PLL tube, 2 x 55watt PHILLIPS PLL tube, on timer 7.00 am - 24.00 pm. on only 3 x 36 watt, maybe lighting will be replaced with LED lighting or T5 ATI tube later.

actually this rays batch is the 3rd batch, the first and second batch is died because my fault.
1 pair 6" pearl rays, 1 male and 2 female 8"-9" black diamond rays
i just thinking, what the bad for rays if i turn on the lighting 24/7,

No rays tank (or any other tank) should be lit 24/7 in my opinion. That is not what they would experience in nature.

I just don't agree with it. No fish should be in light 24/7 but up to you what you do mate, I know a lot of people in Asia light tanks 24/7 especially for aros, just don't see the point.

Why would you want 24hr lights?

just a habit,

yeah im concern about it,
maybe it would be better if i separated the rays on it own tank with timed light right.

YOu like to sleep right....?
Im sure fish like to sleep as well. Even aro's.
And you powerbill will be a tad cheaper. Put the light on 12/12 or just while your awake.
