so you are tanning the aro correct?.
just put the light slightly higher, so there is still some area which will not be exposed from the light for your rays to rest and chill. make sure you have nuff aeration coz the water will gets warmer and holds less oxygen. however, you might not get a 100% efficiency from the tanning, since your aro may just swim near the bottom to avoid the light as well if they are not used to.. but it is better than nothing still.
gw juga tanning super red, di comtank dengan stingrays, ga masalah sejauh ini, selain lumutan =)
not tanning as put the light on the tank front/side glass, just put on the top.
there is no shaded area on my tank, even will add more light later so all the area is got equal on light
aeration is not a problem anymore on my tank because i have 1 x resun LP20 and 1 x resun LP40 on the sump plus 1 resun king3 powerhead that splashing on water surface to let the K1 moving. beside the main pump, i think its plenty of aeration already.
24jam nyala gak ya bro?
What grade of stainless mesh was it? If it was a 400 series of stainless that would explain it but if it was 304 or 316 I do not see it effecting your water as it is food grade
304 grade ss, hard to find the 316 grade ss mesh here,
but i think is a good idea if the ss mesh changed with nylon mesh, tomorrow i want to find it, hope its available here.
He had mentioned it was 304, that's why I didn't think it was caused by the mesh. I wondered if when changing out the mechanical filtration, something got disturbed in the bio and possibly stirred up a dead zone or something
i think that is cause my rays problem bro. because now rays is just fine, since i changed the water,
maybe when was i removed all the mechanical filter, filtration system is influenced.
right now water become cloudy, just like starting a new tank. maybe bio filter is crash.
certainly if the ss mesh is not the cause, still i dont think so want to using it again.
here is vid, tank condition today, i doing a 50% wc because water so cloudy
