Thanks, it is a pretty cool fish.

Honestly as much as I like this fish, my silver is much cooler, more interactive, eats everything that hits the water, generally less skittish (not always) and has more personality overall.

That looks too good to give to a fish! I did buy the mussels and I did get him to eat it so now he'll eat superworms, earthworms, shrimp & mussels.

That's good news mate shrimp really brings out the colours imo , it was much cheaper than lfs though mate £15 for 2.5kg of frozen

Aquanero, How is the Lei coming along? Update on Size and Food? I got one at 3-4" in January now at about 14"+ (posted an update weeks back).

Got him on shrimp, superworms, Hikari sticks, occasional crickets but too much hassle lol, starting Hikari Gold mix and tilapia as of yesterday.

I noticed Leichardti have large bottom lips as the barbels grow too, more so than other Aro.

That's because your leichardti got a deformity called protruding lower jaw which the lower jaw over extends a lot over the upper jaw. A normal leichardti's jaws shouldn't be like that.
