Try glass eggs. The fish seem to be confused and they really can't get their snouts in to uproot the plants. Also gets them further up in the tank and might not bother earth eaters. Worked pretty well for us.

SD and Piranha are in the same family. Yes, they do. I have kept both and thankfully none of these guys have teeth.

Silver Dollar have small dull teeth. The species that you have described is probably the Spotted Silver Dollar.

Sub species, I like them because they stay smaller which makes them calmer imo

Plus they look kind of like piranhas ?

Been a little while but what’s going on with this guy? Dark spots but not normal spotted SD spots and circle on left side.
