Sorry hear that....honestly if strollo and a couple of the fellas here met me in NNJ we can load up in my suburban and come help. I dont mind the drive, we can all pitch in for gas tolls and a couple of Coronas Lol. Just let me know, I'm available this Sunday or anytime next weekend.

WUSS !
I can't even count how many times I have driven 3.5 - 4 hrs each way for various reasons. There & back home, same day.

I thought you were tougher.

LOL...Kahuna that's a really nice offer,I'm going to impose on some friends for their time and manpower and see who is available.I'll keep you in mind though....really appreciate it.

I'd be a little worried about just resealing a 265g. I fixed a 112g once that had a leak at one corner. It was structural that needed silicone because when i was pushed outward on the pane I saw a gap. i first tried to reseal it only, it held for about a week and started leaking again. The second time i remove one side of the glass and siliconed it, then resealed it, and its been going for 5months. what may be helpful to know is that you can you can silicone a metal corner protector thingy to add strength to the corner since taking off a 265g glass panel may be too difficult.

Krich...Im in the process of stripping my sealant and getting ready to reseal. Once I'm done, I can swing up the expressway and give you a hand. Let me know.

I agree, if its leaking then its comming through the 2nd layer aswell, so we all know your strength is compromised also. If you dont remove the glass i would def use some kind of corner bracing.

Krich....any progress? I wound up going to monster pets and springing for a 110g. A bit smaller, but a little peace of mind. Are you resealing ?

Naw man, nothing yet but I may do it this weekend when I'm off...I haven't been to Monster in a while, did they have any interesting fish there?

Did you research that silicone?

you probably have to reseal the entire tank and remove all remnants of the old silicone for a perfect watertight job. I did this on my 225 and it was about a week long job when you include all that damn scraping (you will get blisters even with the right gloves) and the time you wait for it to dry.

maybe its karma what did you do :P

Lol,not sure about Karma but the tank was bought "used" and these kinds of things do tend to happen.
