why do you think i am dumb cos you think i haven't done any research of tig before i get tig.

do you think i am dumb? i ain't dumb like you.... i have done my research before i get this tigrinus.
If the reasearch was done properly then why get the rtc? you should have realised they were not compatible.

(If I am so dumb, then explain how my
Tig has grown from 7 inch to 8.5 inch in 10 weeks?)

well if i got tig... i should look after him very well. must have a proper filter system. and to have a right size of the tank. i know most tig are very hard to find any foods cos they are so crap to hunts the foods.

(And to think, I could have sold u some tigers after u pm'd , thank god I did not.)

i never get any tigers before so i was going to get it before but i can't cos no bigger tank.

(Notwithstanding that, I do hope u turn things around with fish and tank.)

my tig is ok but he got a lot of white spots all over his body. i use anti white spot treatment for my tig.... i hope he will be ok in weekend

thanks

well i want to get rtc so when my rtc get bigger then i will put him in my cousin tank.

or

i need to get a bigger tank in soon

dont panic he's probably stress out about the other catfish around him. also did you just recently do a water change?whats the temperature at right now? also tigrinus live in faster moving waters so pump up the flow with a power head if you have one. see that you have a tigrinus i'm expecting that you are an advanced keeper. but even the best sometimes make the most minor mistakes.

You made many mistakes

1 not using tap water conditioner

2 buying a RTC not many people have a big tank for a RTC

3 to much messing around with the tank

4 not doing some reasurch on the fish you are buying

5 not having test kits I bet even now you dont know the PH

6 not having the right filtration

7 not having enough aeration and water movement

8 I'm not sure what the temp of the tank is before and during the water chance if the temp was stoping to low that's what may have caused the White spot

I could probaly think of a few more to make it up to 10 but I would like to hear your reply to the mistakes I have listed

I can't see how people are trying to defend this kind if thing I was doing my best to. Try and help in this and the other threads that were started

I would love to know the shop that sold him this mix of fish and gave him such bad advice

Any way I hope he gets the White spot sorted then he needs to sort out the other problem with the tank

He can keep other fish with the tig no problem and to tell the truth even with the fontosa comeing from different water parameters if he kept the PH at 7 I think that would have been a good and nice looking tank

i hope when you treated for white spots you also treated your tank with tap water conditioner as well since you haven't been using it... you need to treat your tank and treat the water on every water change... that could be a big reason why he is darting and acting strange as well as the white spots... and like T1 said the white spots could be from letting the water temp during water changing dip too low... you need to try and get everything sorted out as fast as possible for the sake of all the fish in the tank... I'm sure their are plenty of people willing to help but you need to understand you are not an experience fish keeping.... you may have been keeping fish for a long time but NOT the right way... with the fish you have you need to learn how to do it correctly so your fish do not suffer anymore... seriously ask any Q no matter how stupid or small a thing it is... do a lot of research on everything... even if you say you have... not knowing about treating tap water shows that you have not... goodluck

nope frontosa was ok tho cos they are hard water....

you know when i get arowana from my cousin... he used these arowana in ro unit water....

ro unit water + hard water into stress water.... that what i am thinking

No matter what u guys say though hes going to keep the fish (most likely) and there is nothing anyone can do about it. So the best thing to do is help him out as much as possible to ensure the fish do survive, and he learns from his mistakes.
