My wolves

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
nice curupira!!! I have mine in with a bunch of polys. soo far i dont think he is eyeballing them. cause he could end up as a potential meal haha.

Lol thank you I was just coming to give and update in my malas and my curiosity, my smaller mala has practically caught up to the larger one in a month, his growth is so insanely fast I got him feb 7th at 1.5 inches I just measured him at 4 my other one I got late February at 5 inches, and is still 5 inches, they eat everyday a few goldfish, I'm trying to grow them quickly to put them in a larger tank and so they won't be potential meals. My smaller ones growth is insanely fast. His head seems larger in proportion to his body than the other, his patterns are never the same. Maybe they're just different genders cause the smaller one seems thicker for his length too. Idk. I just took them out and measured them and took under jaw shots. I'll take in tank shots when I can. The tank is just in a weird position to take pics of. I have no space to see if the pic is of them and if it's clear.

My curu is with an ornate, odoe and pleco. Was thinking of getting a large Raphael as a fish that'll eat left overs at night. And possibly bala sharks as dithers but then again they'd probably not serve their purpose, and there really isn't dithers for wolves, they pretty much catch it if they want it.

Don't worry, didn't put that water back in the tank, dog hair ends up everywhere lol. As far as the curu goes with tank mates, he's played nice so far, he's starting to swim around now, he runs when I approach him to quickly. But other than that he stays out and I could get as close as I want. He's coming out if his shell little by little, hopefully he'll start taking freeze dried krill as his staple. My smaller mala does. I have the two malas to see which one is more personable or atleast more active then the other will go to a new home.

Is it me or does the smaller malas head seemed more compressed? I just wonder if he's not a mala, cause that would be cool, if he is I'm completely fine with that too. He may or may not be the one I keep. But they just differ so much from eachother. Just a thought.ImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1426646316.533394.jpg

Update: added a Nigerian lap, no aggression towards anyone in the tank, he's feeding very happily on freeze dried krill. Only issues have been the goby. And I threw in a slightly thicker bullhead to see if he'd go for that to see. Still trying to get a measure of what he views as food. Only odd thing is I put that small Senegal bichir which is about the same length but much skinnier and he hasn't went for that.. Kind of confusing. I obviously intervened when he tried the bullhead, due to the tips being venomous and also being able to get stuck out which would choke the wolf. I removed him, put him in a separate tank but he didn't make it. So tank mates for curupira are Nigerian lap, ornate, odoe, pleco. Thinking of adding a Raphael catfish to pick up any scraps at the end of the night. Seems the small mala has slown in growth.

Also as seen in the pic I recently added two bala sharks as dithers, not permanent. Just experimental, he pays no mind to them either, so they're not serving any purpose they'll end up leaving me most likely.
