Ah, yes...Common names. Apple snail, mystery snail. I just mean get a big snail, sounds like he has one already. I'd say a nano tank, (40liters/10 gallons) is too small for any bristlenose though.

personally I think 10 gallons is the absolute lowest limit for a single bristlenose and maybe a few very small fish like 2-3 neons or platys
The LDA025 aka Pitbull pleco would work you could also do a LDA08 which is one of my favorite small plecos
