Need Advice/Help Don't Know How To Fix

if you add media and tomorrow the ammonia goes down that is a good sign,, it should get lower steadily with active media(it won't happen all at once but over a couple weeks most likely
How do I go about adding media from my EX70 to the AquaClear since the EX70 is a cartridge instead of having biomax? May be a stupid question but I want to be sure before I cut up a cartridge? Is the bb on the soft cartridge? (Picture 1) the part that surrounds the I believe charcoal that is inside? Or is it on the second stage of filtration? Don't know what it's called. (Picture 2) if it's on the part of picture one do I just place it on top of my biomax in my aquaclear?

get everything down to small enough chunks to put under 1 ac sponge(however you can do it , that will stay under the sponge)then put it under and top with sponge ...instant cycled ac filter

Ok so I just need to cut the cartridge part into small parts and then just put underneath my sponge in my aquaclear. And the part I am cutting up is just the cartridge hard to describe I guess what you would call the dirty part, I feel like a child

After reading isn't the bb on the BioScrubber part of the filter?

yes ... pull the cloth off the plastic skeleton an cut it up a little... then put it under the ac sponge.. those scrubbies ,,I would just leave in the other filter ... that cartridge should give you a nice jump start ... DON'T rinse or dry it out just cut it up and use it asap...if you want ,,,you CAN PUT THE SCRUBBIES on top of the bio max in the ac ..but the cartridge should be enough for a kick start ,,, you should see better readings in a couple of days
Just did that I guess this should work will include picture. Hopefully this helps my tank out thank you for bearing with me I am very visual when it comes to stuff so reading then doing isn't the easiest thing for me. Will update soon hopefully it works
