I dont want to post anymore in this thread and this is all I will say in response. Read post #5 and think how you would feel if you were the guy "smiling" at her. You may be right though. She should not tolerate a smile from a fat guy.
it sounded more like she said she tripped with a nice looking guy smiling at her hell id be creeped out by alot of fat men watching me run.

you're really starting to annoy me. why are you trying to turn this into something that it's not? i don't hate people that are overweight and i certainly do not look down on them. why don't you just chill out? this thread is about a piece of gym equipment that is right for me. thats all.

Neer,
next time tankbusters staring at you just say hello and maybe he will stop venting all his insecurities at us.
But on a serious note. Comfort will be a key factor so go to your local fitness store or gym and identify what is comfortable and the folks there should be able to show you many things. The bench that came with my weight system was very uncomfortable and had gaps in areas that was not good for me. As a result I bought a separate bench to use. I wouldnt want you to order something online or without trying it and come to find out it gives you back pain or is too short or too wide once you get home.

yeah actually when i ordered my treadmill, i didnt actually see it in person first and when it came it was really narrow, if it was someone bigger i can see that they would have difficulty using it but thankfully it was fine for me. i've finally found out its the same thing here, home gym i think its called so i can search for it online then go to look around. hard to shop for something when you don't know what its called.

roflmao, wow oh wow. This thread is funny. First, can't say i blame fat dude or any dude for staring at you.

Second, it's funny that anyone can be offended that someone doesn't feel comfortable at a gym. You're a guy, we're just wired differently. You should know better to even try to put yourself in her shoes.

Three, my contribution to this convo.....since the OP seems....determined not to gain any muscles, it sounds like she just needs somethin for cardio. Any work with weight wouldn't do any good since she wants to stay soft and curvey. The medicine ball and small weight sound like a good idea. If you can walk in heels, i'm sure you can handle exercising on a ball. Any basic work out video would also probably help you accomplish your goal. It just seems a bench is meant for way more then you want to use them for.

Like i said in the beginning just get a bench

That can adjust both upward and downward
I work out every day and I keep in shape i know what im talking about

Lock your feet onto the little rubber handles down below, get maybe a 10 pound weight and do some sit ups

On the other side get some dumbbells maybe 10-15 pounds

You can work out your triceps, biceps and even forearms

On the bench (optinonal for your chest) you can do butterflies and regluar benching

Light weights will tone you and not make you buff, In order for you to buff out, you need years of bulking

Light weight and lots of repitition will help you
i agree with most of this, untill the lots of reps with small weights part.

3-5 sets of 8-12 reps will be perfect, at 70-80% and that is the perfect amount for fat loss and muscle tunning.

also if you decide to go with that combo home gym, make sure you research on how to do all the workouts/movement correctly so you do not injure your self.

good luck!

and for the little arguement on this thread...

i love when fat guys stair at my body at the gym!:eek:

:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:hahahaha!:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:
