I just bought 5 juvie angels to be the centerpiece for my 55 gal tank and I want a boss fish to keep them in line. I have had angels before, and like them, but I don't like their attitude. I suspect that they mat stress out my other fish, and I just don't like the way they behave. I was going to put in a gourami to keep them in check, but the pearl in lfs looked like he was homicidal inregard to angels (really beating up 3 angels twice his size in his tank), so I chose not buy any. I don't mind a boss fish, but i really dislike my angels being bosses. I have 0ppm all around, 78F, a 350 gph reverse undergravel filter, some moss, a few vals, and some floating plants, 13 praecox rainbows, 5 flying foxes and 10 guppies. the guppies can be rehomed if need be.
