A lot of us came to a conclusion that it could easily be the swim bladder. It just takes a while for it to heal if it can. Taking it day by day with home :) I hope he can make it. If not, I have a new flowerhorn I have an eye on at my lfs. It's a short body with a nice kok already
I said tht too but for some reason forgot the name of the swim blatter

I dont understand the point of a hospital tank for a fish that lives alone......your just stressing it worse moving it to a sterile environment with no good biological filter. Why not just treat where it already was?

My reasons:

1) I use multiple filters, so transferring to a smaller tank along with one of the filters, so when you use the abx it doesnt kill all of your BB

2) It is more expensive to treat in a larger tank then a small 10g QT tank

3) It is easier to do water changes

4) You can more accurately dose and over dose meds as needed in a 10g tank than say a 55g+

Fair enough but it seems the majority of reasons is to save the user time and money but no really best for fish. Im not saying your wrong I'm just saying moving a sick fish can cause more harm then people realize sometimes
