idk. its not your typical 30 gal lol. its 3'x16"x1' (16" deep, foot tall) so they have plenty of room for awhile

once the pacus are out of the 200 and the ropes and dragons are all over 14" ill probably put them in there. unless i turn one of the 55's into a brackish tank

I'd only let them go to a foot. That way they don't' get stunted. Mine have almost doubled in size after about 3 months of owning them. SO you don't have much time unfortunately. They went from having ich really bad being really skinny and 3-4'' to being healthy, plump, 6-7'' long. And they're all over the place. Up at the top down the sides zipping around the bottom. Filter feeding in their favorite spot and sifting the sand almost constantly. They even come out in the late afternoon for several hours.

30 gallon long should hold them for a very short few months but you'll need to watch your levels as they grow. The 55 would be great for a brackish tank.

I don't mean to "attack" you. I'm sorry if it seems that way. I just have some so I have an emotional attachment to the species. They're just much more fun if you house them the right way.

ive got two 55's to work with. one for cichlids, the other for community fish, unless i can get my mom to agree to doing it brackish. id like a mono trio also so maybe thatll help (shes wanting angels and mono like similar to angels, and are also schooling brackish fish). ill see what i can do, no matter what ill make sure that they end up somewhere that theyre happy and healthy, even if it means them going away to another fishkeeper. im not one to abuse my fish or any other animal for that matter
