That's a drag. If the owner is going through some stuff (we all have), then he should suspend the mail order part of his business until things get sorted out. I think all are a pretty understanding group.

By trying to apparently limp along he is causing harm to his business that could potentially be economically fatal. If he focuses on the brick and mortar aspect and then reenters the online world he could avoid damaging his reputation but it might be to late

I just saw this thread and the ones Nicole Deleted, Any one who has a problem please call me tomorrow. I will be at the store all afternoon. Please ask to speak to me. I will take care of any problems. My Wife is about to give birth to our new baby so I have not been at the store and am not aware of what is going on, I thought Nicole had everything under control apparently not.

You shouldn't throw Nicole under the bus, bad form
especially if she is trying to do her job and yours.

I went and visited them for the first time last Sunday and it's sad to hear these reviews. Not many stores are left like this that caters to our niche. I would be upset myself over this but am torn because I'd hate to see a business like this to out of business like so many other specialty shops. I really hope they pull it together as stores like this add tremendous value to the hobby. Imagine them not being around. Where would people buy their piranhas, rare and expensive rays, and other hard to find monster fish?

Though I am undeniably on the side of the customers on this, I urge everyone to not jump to conclusions without all information. For example, I would LOVE to jump to the conclusion that the owner is throwing Nicole under the bus since seemingly he is the only one that can ship fish out and yet blaming her for not shipping the fish out, but perhaps we need more information to prove that not to be true... However if it were true, and Nicole and Mark don't ship fish out, and everything has to have the go ahead from Pedro, then I am really wondering what specific instructions she was given (other than deleting threads) to get everything "under control", because, without jumping to conclusions, it seems like not only is blame being shifted but onto one of their own coworkers, which will only serve to make matters 10x worse. Maybe she was to call and assure the customers they will get their fish shipped out, for the 100th time...

Now that Pedro is involved, I hope to get this resolved tomorrow.

@mrrobxc Youre right, I live in an area where I had to drive 50 miles to reach a store that had something other than neons and guppies. Now in the past year all 3 that existed have closed because they cant compete with Petco and Petsmart. Those are my only remaining options unless i want to drive 150 miles or more. Hence why ive been moving my purchases online, even when shipping amounts to 80 to $100 dollars. But that said, fish dont ship themselves and just because you want to make sales via mail or online doesnt mean that you should.

If your job is to call and set up the shipping of fish, then that is probably something that you should be doing whether it is 1 or 2 conversations or 100. When someone comes into the Hospital, I dont just have the option to skip them and maybe get back with them in a few weeks. Nor does the checker at Walmart get to skip checking out people that might have more than a few items.

All in all im happy it looks like op's issues is going to be taken care of.

Nice to see we all have each others back when something isnt right.

Sometimes 100 people are allot louder than 1
