i'm picking up the stand for it tomorrow, i bought 2 small pumps and pipe and a t piece today, so things should progress nicely, i will pick up the electronic switching gear on saturday

I took delivery of my stand today and got the tank in place.

The sump has a pinhole leak, running from 1 compartment to another, I give up trying to bung it, will probably fill with crap when its in operation anyway.
Tomorrow ill get the electronic switching gear.
I found a problem, the little pumps I bought to do the job, they are not powerful enough to return water 5 feet into the air and back into the tank.
Is there a formula for working out how much lph you lose with height?

Sweet tank!!! Now just think of the one that's going to dwarf that one...
You get that info from the pump manufacturer...it's called head or head pressure, and is measured in feet of head (insert metric #'s were necessary).
Manu. usually have a chart of flow characteristics on they're website.
What was they're output @ 0 head?

shsh its filling with water, im not tempting anything
