if the tanks all set up i dont think you should have to scrub it or anything. Just rinse it thoroughly and i'm sure you'll be fine.

Egon;4006712; said:Also..........you may want to put some starter fish in first to get the cycle going before you put in the Aro's. Keep putting more starter fish in until the amount of starter fish equals the two Aro's, weight wise. This will get the bacterial level to the correct amount with out stressing the Aro's. Let everything stabilize for a week or so then remove the starter fish and add the Aros'.
Another tip use the old water from other tanks to fill the new tank.
Fat Homer;4007450; said:^ I've read old water does nothing to help cycling a tank... not sure if its true or not, but thought i would put that out there... not to mention that although using starter fish will help cycle the tank, what are you going to do with those starter fish when you put the Aro's in there... since if you add the aro's to the tank with the starter fish, you just going to be adding more bio-load to your tank which means you'll need more bacteria...

I think most people here on MFK will agree the old water will help your cycle. I also use an old filter, the dirtyer the better, to cycle a new tank.
