I would leave it in for a month or so.

I am suprised you have ammonia.Especially that high. I would run the sponge from your golfish tank in that tank if you can. You having ammonia and nitrite doesn't make sense to me. If you added the old media from your 120 to your sump, cycling should not be an issue. Did add water conditioner to the water before you started the filter,to take out chlorine?
yup, I added stresscoat the night before, and also turned on the powerhead, then in the morning i transferred 1 filter into my sump. I fed my arowana as i normally feed him. not sure if this would cause ammonia , I have not tested for nitrate yet. will do a test tomorrow.

seeeding doesn't seem to have worked :(
I tested and Ammonia was at 4, made 30% water change, but instead of new water, I just got the water from my other 300 gal tank. not sure what went wrong with my seeding, when i tested ammonia at 2 ppm or higher, ntrite at 0 .

nice looking tank! i hope everything works out for you.

wow that tank looks good.

I would stop feeding the fish in that tank for 3 or 4 days until you get the ammonia under control. Water changes with your other tank water is a great idea.

thanks. I'm still puzzled why the seeding did not seem to work :(
'm tempted to use my zeolite mats. since i bought them before for emergencies.

It's just going to take a little time. Stop feeding and continue with water changes from your other tank. In another week I bet you will be all set.

thanks :) I'll take more pictures later, i'll also try to do a 50% water change and use the water from my other tank. hope the bacteria kicks in.
