They big enough to see if they will turn out as nicely as your male has?Yes. I still have 15 of the little monsters. Haha

He's looking great! He's already outgrown my River (considering she's older than he is it makes me wonder if I'm doing something wrong? It is time for an update isn’t it. Lol I’m falling behind.
Oliver is now 7in. His growth has definitely slowed down, but he is still growing nicely. He is missing some bottom fin from getting into it with Greenie. I think she was just getting him back for nipping her bottom fin
I’ve had to stop purposely hand feeding him. He attacks my hand and bites me. I still h/f Greenie and the babies though

I need to get some new pictures of his son I’m going to grow out. So far his fins aren’t looking like Oliversbut he is pretty small yet I guess.

Thanks. I'm wondering if maybe laying eggs all the time has slowed River's growth? Even without a male she lays eggs almost every month so that may be causing her to grow slower.. Dunno, I'm happy with her regardless of how fast she grows.Thank youI am very proud of him. He is everything I wanted when I first saw a picture of a green terror and decided I wanted one.
And I doubt you are doing anything wrong. Females grow slower from my experience. I’ve had my girl I think about 6 months longer then him. And she has fallen behind growth wise. She is between 6-6 1/2in and not as tall. I hardly notice any size difference in her over the past few months. I think spawning maybe a bit to blame.
River is an amazing girlIf only I had the space, I’d love a white seam riv.

Yeah I wish I had a bigger tank so I could get a male for her, but I couldn't keep a male in River's tank. I personally don't think its big enough for a 10-12" fish, others might disagree but I couldn't do it.I’m pretty sure it does. Greenie was growing fairly well till she started laying eggs when she hit 5”. Growth since then has been incredibly slow. Greenie was laying eggs monthly as well without a male in the tank. Those natural reproductive instincts just seem to take over. Lol
