Great stuff, !!

Fantastic tank.------for filtration i would build a sump 1/3-1/4 the tank size and add enough pump to turn the tank over 3-5x. And your done. see how easy that was.

^^^ Ha ha ha. Not so much. I will be getting a pair of pumps in the next few weeks for this thing. The problem is the tank has built in overflows but they aren't going to flow as much as I'de like..... I guess I could just run one pump but how monster is that? I imagine I'm going to be running a pair of of 125 gallon sumps and another tank with plants in it.

Pumps will be Hammerheads..... Wanted to run 2 but I highly doubt the overflows are going to jive with 12K gph.

Anyways......... YES the tank used to be a reef. The guy was planning on keeping sharks in it but closed down his shop.

It's a Tenecor 750 gallon. Dimensions are 120 x 48 x 30.

Nice pick up!!

If you want to run a 12k gph pump, cut the teeth on the overflows. I did that to my 450. I cut every other tooth so the overflow could handle the flow of the pump. I'm running a Dolphin ES5500 which pushes 5500 gph. As of right now from where the water level is and the flow rate, I think I could be running a more stronger pump if I wanted too. Just something you might want to look into if you want to run those pumps. Just make sure your drains are big enough to handle the flow rate as well.

Show us the whole set up, please!
