New Armatus home. Sneak peak......

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Need a plan. Without a plan there's no attack. Without an attack there is no victory.

I rushed setting up my pond and there's mistakes all over the place. Don't want this to be the same..... Hence the reason I was asking for suggestions on the filtration.

How about do a japanese style sump. Get a custom sump built to fit inside of the stand. Would make for awesome filtration!:headbang2

wow.. just.. *SPEECHLESS*

3K is very nice. I looked at a order form for a tencor 1230 gal. It was like 10'x4'x? and they wanted 14K so 10K for this thing new would not be to far fetched.

The stand has NO verticle braces under it...... Which means the sump could be HUGE.... My guess is there will be many sumps tied together....... Was planning on just a pair of tied together 125 gallon sumps...... BUT I have an acrylic 240 that's just been sitting for a while. Since it's no prom queen maybe I can incorporate that too as a fuge for live plants in an attempt to lower Nitrates. I can allready see I'm gonna need a room for this thing.

You should definitely modify that 240 into a sump! No question about it. That would be the way to go as far as filtration for that tank. Monster filtration for a Monster tank.:D

a 240 gallon sump wouldn't be monster enough. (2) 125s AND a 240..... That might work. One of the 125s for Mech, 1 for bio, and 240 for Fuge (plants)
