You'll have better luck with the regular SD (Metynnis hypsauchen), Metynnis fasciatus or larger ones like red hooks or wide bars in my opinion.

I suggest an egg crate divider. Then, once you find larger ones, buy them and remove the egg crate. Silver Dollars are great fish. Of course, they aren’t great for planted tanks.
