one thing with macro that you will find is that a good flash helps a lot because you really need to stop down quite a bit on really close stuff because your DOF is sooo shallow(f8-11). mainly bugs etc. these that you posted look really good for your first macros. the nice thing about macro photography is it opens up a whole new world and almost unlimited subjects.
 
I have a Canon 430EX II flash so hopefully that will do the job. I don't really know how to use it all that well yet though.
