i was gonna do sand...but the wifey was so pissed i spent 250 bucks on this. i am in the dog house soooo bad...i am selling like 40 blu rays right now. so that was a cheaper option. and i actually really like the rocks. man plecos are expensive. whats a relatively cheap "pretty" lookin pleco. haha

Id try the P an pleco combo with a Common pleco at first. Wouldnt wanna spend the money on a fancy pleco an have get its eyes an find torn up.

your going to run into problems with gravel that size.

not only as waste develops but also p's get spooked very easily so larger gravel makes more noise.

i had 20 tanks full of different p's at one time in my home and not once did a pleco live.

Bad combos for plecos (in my experiance) Plecos with Larger predatory cats, Plecos with large african cichlids, an Plecos with Ps.

bumpylemon if i would you get rid of those sharpe edge rock...piranha get freak out easy and they can run into that and hurt them safe..

you should go with natural sand or gravel with some dritfwood and live plants. make it look like amazon river, make the piranha feel like home.

just my 2 cent...i can post up some pictures of my old piranha set up if you want to see.
