Would a featherfin catfish be OK with her? She doesn't seem to even notice any of my catfish.

Maybe ,maybe not. It depends on the fish itself. My big male killed a14-15 inch common pleco when he was like 10 inches himself so you have no way of knowing. You should try and give her a 18 width eventually cause I've seen and owned females that where at least 11 inches so maxing out at 8-9 is possible but giving her a chance to hit her true size is better

I agree, I just thought I would get peoples opinions. I have a feeling that even though it is a female, she didn't breed for long and was previously in a 240g tank so probably not stunted. The fella I bought her off had her for 3-4 months and apparently had grown a couple of inches in that time. She has been excavating the whole tank over the last couple of days and her egg tube has started to come down so I think she is still in breeding mode.
