Aquatic Aggression i had finished a water change 5 minutes before these were taken hence the cloudy water. As for the bubbles it is because the water is so close to the glass lid the air has nowhere to go until it hits the back of the tank where it is open. It’s been 3 days since the last dose and this is the second water change. My well water is always a little cloudy when I do a wc but clears up about an hour after. It’s a steady 6.5ph but I run a little bit of crushed coral in the hob so it sits right at about 7. I tested water yesterday and it was- pH:7 amm:0 N02:0 N03:in between 0 and 20ppm

Ruturaj i wish I could post videos or I would, he’s happy as could be. He’s eating, chasing my hand and he goes over to the bichir from time to time and does a little somersault like he wants to play. He should be good to go now, only a few more weeks and he’ll be out of that little tank

Because of the dark color I thought he looked stressed, may be it was just light. He would definitely enjoy that space.

Ruturaj he’ll be moved soon enough and I’m sure he’ll be a lot happier. But yeah, those pics were all taken in just a few seconds of eachother it was just because he was up towards the top on the tank and the light exposure was off. I thought the pics looked pretty cool though

The light on that tank is terrible, I just finished a water change before those pictures but when he is stressed all that yellow turns to tan and his reds turn into s super light pink

Very nice development. I'm sure within a month or two, he'll blossom. I would get a new set of lights. If you haven't done so, give him a few minutes with a mirror every day to work up his mojo ?. From initial seller's photos, he was in a tank with a female so his colors and overall shape intensified because of it.

What food are you feeding him? I am thinking about hikari blood red parrot or NLS ultrared for mine.

Ruturaj As of right now he’s eating okiko red, okiko platinum, hikari gold and frozen bloodworms. I’ve tried northfin cichlid and nls cichlid and he doesn’t like either one. My bichir loves the northfin though

Somewhere on this forum I read that it's better to feed one food exclusively and it might take time for fish to accept new food.

Mine didn't eat new life spectrum pallet, but is eating blood worms. Is it related to floating vs sinking pallets? I am going to try hikari blood parrot plus.

My fish is timid as well, hides when I go close to the tank.
