New flowerhorn!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Jacob92677 Jacob92677 oh I’m almost sure he’ll be almost white once he arrives? I’ll make sure he’s at home and comfortable before I post some pictures! ECW ECW i may have to try that trick! I’ll definitely be getting a mirror though. I’m not so much worried about him getting a big kok or not, more or less that he gets the exercise and shows off those colors!

You can also exercise them just by running your fingertip around front tank glass, they'll follow it and can even train them to do loop to loops or barrel rolls (at least until they get too fat lol).

I received my Flowerhorn yesterday!! I was supposed to receive the fish Wednesday, the flight shipping got delayed and the fish was stuck in a box waiting to be shipped cross country for 3 days straight. Yesterday he finally arrived at my house but I have been out of town for Thanksgiving. Luckily, my friend came to my house to unbox him and acclimate him. Here’s a video he sent to me of him this afternoon, I’ve checked the pearling and he is in fact the same exact fish, I hope he’ll regain his kok and color with time. I’ll post a picture of him in case the video link doesn’t work.

Jacob92677 Jacob92677 day three today, I got home this afternoon, fed him, installed a black background, did a water change and started dosing medications. He colored right up after the water change!!! As I watching him(since this is the first day I’ve seen him in person), I noticed quite a bit of his pectoral fins are missing, he has a split in his tail and he has some scale damages. After dosing and treating him for the next 5 days I hope to see the start of a full recovery!BBD9A161-1597-4B50-B12D-5A0634E69E0B.jpegFDA5D2BC-025C-41B6-ADDC-B4AB150FB53A.jpeg

Jacob92677 Jacob92677 thanks!! I’ll do weekly update pics on here as well. I really hope he makes it through all of this!

Glad to hear he survived the journey, by the sound of it that could have turned out differently -- good thing your friend could help out. But yeah he's starting to color up nicely, just give him some time to adjust to his new home. You might consider to put in a fake plant or two to give him some cover when he wants to relax. Good luck and keep us updated.
