new motoros not eating & retic chasing them.

Yea that was my biggest concern. The divider only costed me $13 and an hour worth of cutting but a tail is not gonna grow back.

I was hoping to take it out in a few days but after tonights scare,
it will prob stay in another week or two. Last thing I need it my motoros more stressed if the retic goes for em again.

it has been a few weeks so I took out the divider and my retic has been chasing my motoros around the tank for about an hour. I don't think she is biting them but whatever she is doing they are swimming away I don't know if I should let them be and see if in time she stops or divide them again.

I would think she may just be trying to show who is the queen bee of the tank. There, from what I hear, is always one ray in the tank that is the dominant ray. She may be trying to show who is boss...

yea, just not sure if I should let her haha. Does not seem like she is biting their disks or leaving marks just stressing them a little they are breathing a little heavy from being chased around the tank.

I was looking in old posts and somebody said keep them divided, don't feed the aggresive ray as much then let them back together and see if the aggrestion continues. With less energy from less food she may let off my males, what do you guys think?

guess you an try. Dont know, never had that kind of problem...

I just some trout worms in my tank and DAMN! My retic was beating up on the males trying to steal food. The motoros got some but she took a lot of food and bite them I think.

I don't think anyone has said this yet.....Buy some more bottom fish to see if that helps split up the aggression. Try a couple pieces of drift wood or ornaments in the tank so the rays are out of sight out of mind. Here is a pic of mine and it has 7 rays in it no aggression except for mating. Some decorations might go a long way in your tank to minimize aggression.
