I'm not willing to invest again right now though in another one, to much risk of the same thing happening. I don't know if its the fact that they are hybrids that is making them die from unknown causes or what because my fish came in perfectly healthy and was eating withing a few minutes of being in the tank. All my water parameters are fine, it did develope a red sore under its throat area which I don't know what caused it but I'm thinking some sort of internal parasites...however I treated the tank with a little melafix and copper 2 days prior to adding the fish to compensate for the possibility of this hopefully everyone else will pull through ~Trent
 
Sorry for you guys losses. Mine has healed completely and is doing great. I put him in a larger tank with more oxygen! He's now pushing 6". Here's a pic. I've posted it elsewhere also. He eats like a champ and has grown 2" in the month that I have had him.

latest pics close to 6" for comparison a pic of him with the full pane of glass on the hex tank he's in. That's a 12" pane of glass. take a stick or ruler fine the half way point on the glass take that measurement and put it to the catfish you'll get that he's about half the length or 6". He's gotten so dark and grown so much. I love him!:D
