New Tank & Baby Green Terror!

Did not feed him yesterday and I can tell he's feeling great/super hungry. If I go near the tank he goes nuts dancing at the top asking for food lol. I just cooked and de-shelled a pea and threw it in....he ate the whole thing immediately. So we'll see what happens!

Could by chance this just be his anatomy and all be OK?

Could be if you don't see any redness or inflammation.

On another note, I'm looking closely now at the next tank for these two. I have limited width in this space and I do not plan on adding anymore than the two fish that I currently have. Wife is extremely picky on upstairs decor and I found this that I got her approval on. Looks like a nice unit and love the streamlined cabinet
and the height of the tank. What's everyone's opinion on the Fluval Shaker series? Is this a quality system? Is it risky to have a canister filter upstairs above a nicely finished basement? Looking for some feedback!

Open to any other suggestions, brands, kits, etc.

Tbh I don’t see that being enough space for a gt long term - they can get up to 10-12 inches. I couldn’t imagine one in less than a 75. As long as maintained properly a canister shouldn’t be a problem.

Yeah I was wondering about size too and agree, won't argue that. I'll do some researching on sizes and see what is larger that would fit there.

Been busy, but wanted to update this. Thanks again for all replies, and help!

Fed him peas for about a week and did several extra water changes. He seems to be completely healthy and eating like normal so I don’t feel like there is it wrong!

The problem now is, that he absolutely loves peas and prefers these over anything else lol!

He will spit the NLS pellets right back out but absolutely destroy a pea like a bass hitting top water!

he seems to have grown a little more and also got a bump up in tank size as well!
