They can live for 75 years or so... not really a good impulse buy...

awsome pic hate to hijack the the thread but how long do they live and also how are they as far as illnesses go and parasites go? i have a spare tank laying around but i dont know much about them do they get out alot?

I kept mine with frontosa for two years with no problems, probably on borrowed time though!

So y'all tell me is this a nice LF set up for a single animal???the rock is sitting on the glass. Thing weighs like 20#. Ill have the over flow saterday or Monday....and my lung fish comes fri....the hood is solid but when I get my over flow I will be redoing it

You might want to lower the water level a few inches just to be safe then.

I have a question. A 12" lungfish can swim right? The reason im asking not to be a smart but.. im asking from the sand to the top of the water is 17" from the tom of the drift wood its 5" to the top of the water. Ur telling me that there that lazy they wont go to the surface? I've seen youtube videos and pics on here were there in deeper water than mine. Im confused
