Newbie Nano Planted help!!

Also another quick question I'm was planning to use miracle grow that has these white bead thingys in them but I heard I cause too much nutrients so I was wondering if I can sift the soil to get most the beads out and just a little so the plants can benefit what do you think?

^ Thats pearlite from the sounds of things, so im not sure you should use it?

You want the fully organic miracle grow if you want to use that as a substrate...

As for frogs and shrimp, thats a no go, the frogs will most likely pick off the shrimp depending which species you are thinking about adding...

Depending on the Kelvin rating and the height of the lighting above the tank, im guessing the Anubias and Java Fern maybe okay under those lights... Since both are pretty much low light plants.

The amazon sword im not as sure about although its also a low light plant, im not sure if those two bulbs will have enough light for them?

But again, being that it is a nano tank, it may work?
