Newcomer to MFK: My new 100g build ;-)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I saw this set up a couple days ago! Awesome. Thanks for the invite. I have the exact same background and sand but your tank looks so much better! I gota get some plants I think?

It was nice to meet you and hang out. We need to do that more often. Let us know when you're in town next!

Man, just saw your builds. Awesome work, next level stuff for sure! Way to go, Egon!

Please tell me that you've named one of your fishies, Slimer. ;-)

Found a steal of a deal on some river rocks and took out the pots. I am also upgrading the 2 Hot Mags to 2 FX5's - which should arrive on Tuesday. I am also getting some Trimacs tomorrow afternoon. I'll see about posting some pictures of them in the CA/SA section once they get a bid acclimated.

Are you running a sump? You can put the heaters in the sump and get a temp controller to turn the heaters on and off. All my tanks have the heaters in the sump, it works great. Get rid of the PVC pipe. You spent all that time and money on the background and you have a pipe? Just my 2 cents, tank rocks even with the pipe. Where's the fish?

No sump, 2 FX5's. Hehe.

J and I drank a few beers the other night and I threw that PVC in. LOL

Fish are hiding from the Trimac ;-)

Figured that it was time for an update of how the 100g is going.

Here some freshly updated pictures of the hundy. ;-)

Enjoy ;-)

Got some new driftwood from the Columbia River. Pulled off the banks, dried for a week, rinsed and now soaking. ;-)
