NFL and other sports Flag ceremony protest thread.

I support anyone that is boycotting the nfl but accusing others of putting the game ahead of their country sounds like something taken right out of the liberal playbook.

Hello; I was torn for a time about this whole thing. I did not understand how much I would miss the NFL games until I tried to stop watching. I caved and watched a few games with the Cowboys and the Bears using the excuse they were not protesting. Even with that rationalization I still felt guilty and that I was supporting an organization that has decided to allow continuing disrespect my flag.

The thing about BLM or even why the players are taking a knee does not matter. What matters is that during a ceremony that honors our flag some NFL players continue to stage a protest. Doing the protest during the flag ceremony IS THE POINT.
As much as I like NFL ball I do consider it a choice about putting the games ahead of our flag. I am missing the playoffs and it bothers me. It does not bother me as much as the flag protests so far.

Jaws, you know the reason why there was limited backlash against blm, the word black. Too many Americans are afraid of the possibility of being "racist," all sense leaves their heads. While I think that's some of the case here, my thoughts have stayed the same. You guys just want to keep sucking these athletes you know what. I can totally agree sports can teach you a lot about navigating life. I know you said you watch because of bond time with your son, but not once have I heard you adress how these actions 1 false, 2 at an inappropriate time, or 3 make ANY effort have a discussion about this with your son, to try and at least prioritize things in life. You could have learned the same life lessons watching college, or some lower league , but no you have to suck the big ones.

And yes I steer clear of entertainment (movies, shows) with liberal idiots in them.

Ive always enjoyed your views regardless if we agreed or not but now your mouth/fingers are getting reckless.

My kids ever see a man or women in uniform they approach the person and thank them, My father inlaw is a regional commander in AMVETS so yeah we do grt involved with his stuff which has bern allot harder latley since we moved, we take out kids every yr to our local precinct to drop off goodies during the hollidays, we just organized a treats for our heroes candy drive this past holloween and sent almost 1k lbs of candy to our soldiers, i can keep going if you like

So if you mean to tell me not watching football is how we are going to measure our priorities.... i laugh at that

Hello; What I do not get is how all these other things get into the picture and muddle things up. Some players are protesting during our flag ceremony. What they are protesting does not matter. The NFL had written rules in place that could have been used to stop these protests and did not do so.
The only thing in my power to do about it is to not watch NFL games. In my mind it does come down to supporting an organization disrespecting the symbol of our country or not supporting the NFL by watching something else. I watched college football this season. The championship game was good and I still do not understand how Georgia managed to lose.

Absolutely but lamestream wasn't and isn't about to do any of that....save for a few brave columnists with editorials here and there.....Speaking of Soros and this might interest you,Jaws,the guy donated nearly two million dollars to the campaign of a former defense attorney who recently was elected as our city's new District Attorney...a man who has a history of suing the city and the police department for alleged wrongdoing and misconduct.So now we have this guy running our criminal justice system.

Hello; I tried for several weeks to think of a way to justify watching the NFL games. Unfortunately any scheme I could think of fell short when I thought it thru.
I have not quite gotten to the point of putting a label of being a "bad" American on to those who still support the NFL. It boiled down to the flag ceremony being an important enough symbol such that I cannot support an organization which allows the disrespect to continue.

Hello; I guess this is the way of liberals, conservatives and those of us in between. After I gave up a thing I like very much because of the principle of the it, does it really seem strange that I am less than happy that others still support the NFL. I had a faint hope that a general lack of attendance and viewership would occur and bring the NFL bosses to my way of thinking. It appears that was a false hope. Well by next season I will start watching earlier the college football.
